Dell is delivering my Dell Mini 10v tomorrow. That’s 6 days ahead schedule. That’s the power of under-promising and over-delivering.

Just got a call this morning from Dell to inform me that my Dell Mini 10v is arriving tomorrow. I had expected it to arrive at the end of this month, but it’s reaching me 6 days (or 4 working days) earlier. Well done Dell! Looks like my earlier estimate of getting my Dell Mini 10v within a week after ordering it online  wasn’t too optimistic after all.

I’m really looking forward to getting it hackintosh’ed by tomorrow.

Today is 17th September 2009. My Dell Mini 10v will be coming in 14 days time. That’s a total of 15 days from the day (15th Sept) I ordered in on the Internet. Looks like my earlier estimate of getting my Dell Mini 10v next week was too optimistic. I was actually secretly hoping that Dell was super efficient and the notebook will be at my doorstep tomorrow before the weekend. Anyway, the reason for the super long delivery date is the 2 days Eid ul-Fitr holidays on the 21st and 22nd Sept, aka the Hari Raya Puasa holidays in Malaysia.

Dell delivery estimate of 5 to 7 working days (not counting weekends and public holidays) will get me my notebook on 30th September. I forgot all about delivery estimates is by working days until I re-read the order confirmation email. Grrr… That means I have to wait 2 weeks for my hackintosh laptop to arrive.
