I’ve just ordered a Dell Mini 10v yesterday. Dell says it’ll take 5-8 days to arrive, which means, it’ll arrive sometime next week. I can’t wait to get it and install it with Mac OS X. I ordered the Dell Mini 10v with a 1.66GHz Atom CPU, 1 GB RAM, 160GB HDD, the Jade Green color kit and the 802.11n wifi card.
This blog will be about my hackintosh laptop experience. I’ve always enjoyed tinkering with computers. It will be fun to play around with the Dell Mini 10v and the various OS (Windows, Linux, Mac OS X and Android) that will run on it.
My soon-to-arrive Dell Mini 10v will be the second laptop I’m attempting to install Mac OS X on. In my previous attempt, I tried it on my old Dell Inspiron 700m but gave up when I couldn’t find any Mac OS X drivers for the built-in Intel wifi adapter.
My current notebook is a first generation Intel MacBook with the 1.8GHz Core Duo CPU, 2GB RAM and a 320GB HDD (self upgraded). The Dell Mini 10v will be my secondary notebook. I’ll be using it when I’m on the move and when I’m on the couch or in bed. The small and light form factor should be great for surfing the web, checking mail or reading e-books.
Are you also a hackintosh laptop user? How’s your experience with your hackintosh laptop so far?
